The new Insta360 Go 2…
This tiny new motion digicam has been getting loads of rave critiques.
So I purchased it hoping it perhaps a very good choice to mount on light-weight FPV quads, buuuuuut then I examined it… 🙁
It just isn’t a horrible digicam, however I do get horrible outcomes for FPV. I mounted it on three totally different quads, in a large number of various methods, however I had jello points each single time.
Handheld it’s nice.
Great stabilisation, fairly good picture high quality, light-weight and straightforward to make use of.
Just do not buy it for FPV except you quad has an ideal tune and a wonderful vibration dampened mount.
I put it facet by facet with my hero 8 black, in 4k and in 2,7k 50fps.
with and with out reelsteady, and examined each mode accessible on the insta 360 go 2.
Beta 95X v3
It appears I had some feedback are relating to mount technique.
I did clearly clarify that I attempted a large number of mounting methods, however to elucidate additional.
Types of mounts I attempted. –
Vertical in TPU mount, (screwed into plastic base plate)
Horizontal wrapped in foam sponge, rubber banded right down to prime of body.
Velcro straps tight onto separate platform, which was suspended above body on rubber isolation grommets.
Zip tied to plastic platform, that was on rubber grommets remoted from body.
Fat rubber bands tight to prime of insulated GoProfessional case (which itself was sat on tender foot mount)
And I additionally tried to onerous mount it zip tied solely.
I mounted it in a number of methods.
On three fully totally different quads.
Each time I had both some jello, or a number of jello.
The go professional H8, on every drone, on any mount, had no jello.
UPDATE – I HAD MANY PEOPLE TELLING ME I NEEDED TO MOUNT VERTICAL (I DID) AND USE NDs ETC… AND THEN THERE WOULD BE NO PROBLEM, I DID ALL OF THE ABOVE, HERE IS A UNLISTED FOLLOW UP VIDEO THAT SHOWS THE BEST CASE SCENARIO… AND THE LEVEL OF UNWANTED ARTEFACTS EVEN WITH MY BEST 360 GO2 RESULTS-
